About Dr. Laura Liang

Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs
Associate Professor of Social and Behavioral Health Sciences

Teaching

I have taught undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students across social and behavioral health sciences, leadership and management, and teaching and learning. I strive to create inclusive, engaging environments where students feel comfortable sharing ideas, taking intellectual risks, and learning collaboratively.

Collaboration

My work extends beyond higher education into community-engaged initiatives and workforce development. I have translated public health research into curricular resources, professional development programs, and outreach initiatives across academic and community settings.

Leadership

As Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Rutgers School of Public Health, I lead efforts in academic program development, accreditation, curriculum innovation, and continuous quality improvement. My work focuses on aligning learning outcomes with workforce needs and public health impact.

Impact

I contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning and support institutional efforts that advance academic quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. Across roles, I aim to translate ideas into practice — shaping programs, learning experiences, and initiatives that have lasting impact for students, faculty, and institutions.
